I’m so happy to see how this blog grows. I mean, I love discussing with visitors, being involved in a community, and so on. I’m so happy to get introduced by many other movie-bloggers and having a nice discussion about movies. Thank you, guys, for making your own chance to visit this blog. I appreciate that very much.
Why Commenting is Important
You know, when I said “discussion” in blog, of course I refer to “comments”. No discussion could be established in blogging without any interactions between the blogger and the visitors who comment. Without giving any comments, you won’t start any discussions. You won’t even give me any inputs about, let’s say, that I reviewed the movie so bad, or that you loved my review so much, or that I made mistakes in the reviews, or else. Thus, you don’t help me fix this-and-that around Me On The Movie and it’s surely a very pity on me.
How to Put Your Comments
Here, I am going to guide you to give comments on my post. I hope, after you read this how-to, you won’t find that commenting on Me On The Movie is hard. Of course, then I am looking forward to having a nice discussion with you all guys via the comment box.
- You need to have a Google, LiveJournal, Wordpress, TypePad, AIM, or OpenID account to put comment in my blog. I don't wanna get anonymous comment (which potentially brings SPAM links) in my blog :)
- You see, in the bottom part of every post, there is always a comment box. You can type your opinion about the post in that box. Then, pick one identification service you want in the "Comment as:" dropdown menu. Click "Publish" (or click "Preview" if you want to see a preview of your comment before publishing it).
- You'll be redirected to certain service you choose to identify yourself. For example, if you choose to use your Google account, you'll be redirected to Google Login Page. Type your email and password, and hit Enter.
- Finish identifying yourself? You'll be redirected back to Me On The Movie. Then your comment will be published!
Get A Notification on Your Comments
Another question about commenting in blogs would be, “I find it hard to check if my comment was replied by the blogger or not. Do I have to visit the blog more and more just to find it out?” The answer is no. Well, in Facebook, if someone gives comment on the post that you commented, you’ll get a notification. In blogs, you could do the same using your email.
After signing in using Google or other account and publishing your comment, you will see a “Subscribe via Email” link (see picture above). Click it. Finish! Now, if there any new comments in the post, you’ll get notified via your email. If you want to stop subscribing, click "Unsubscribe".
Rules of Commenting
I will always reply every new comment in Me On The Movie, I’m trying. It also means that I always keep my eyes on every new comment. I don’t use any approvals to new comments for being published: as long as you put an identity, you can publish comments. But, before you give your comment, you have to know that every new comment musts not bring annoyance to other visitors. So, please obey these rules:
- Watch your words. Don’t use any kinds of profanities. Slang words are accepted as long as it is commonly known.
- Don’t ever write spoilers about a film in the comment box without any sign. You can put comment that contains spoiler, but please give a noticable sign like a <SPOILER> tag or else.
- [UPDATED] Don't ask me about any download links whatsoever. I will mark these comments as SPAM.
- [UPDATED] If you could English to comment, it would be better. Tapi, gapapa juga kalo mau komentar pake Bahasa Indonesia. Jadi, jangan ragu untuk komentar mentang-mentang blog ini berbahasa Inggris, ya! :)
- Please comment here, in my blog. Not in my social network homepage or in the social bookmarking. You know, I always publish every new post in the social network and social bookmarking sites and I received good amount of replies, retweets, likes, comments, upvotes, and so on. I love that, I appreciate that, but I appreciate more if you put them right on the blog.
- More rules are coming up soon.
Thank you for your attention and your visit! I hope we could build a good discussion here!
